2020 DOLCECCO (PROSECCO STYLE)

2020 vintage in the Columbia Valley AVA will be remembered as a real challenge and the hardest test for patience. Nerves of steel were required to make the right decision at the right time. Grapes were handpicked, crushed, and pressed before the fires ravaged some locations in the West Coast. Overall, the grapes were elegantly balanced, incredibly exuberant, and intensely aromatic.
 
Winemaking
Different techniques were utilized to boost the natural elegance of this variety. Controlled temperature fermentation, sur lie and battonage, helped to develop a delicate body, rounded and smooth palate with plenty of flavors, and a tangy finish.
 
Tasting Notes
The 2019 Ficarra Cellars Dolcecco (Prosecco Style) is our version of an Alpine Prosecco. This bubbly Sparkling gives away a never-ending array of aromas such as Nectarine, Honeysuckle, Crème Brûlée, Guava, and zesty limes. Fizzy and refined. It can be enjoyed with Thai or Vietnamese food, spicy shrimp, or as aperitif.
